  1. This book will not offer much to any marketing professional who has been in the industry for more than two years. The vast majority of the suggestions for the digital age are common knowledge to the younger generation and those fresh out of business school; and in my opinion, do not apply to those marketing in the B2B medium.

The suggestions given throughout the book focus on tried and true business methods that will act as a guide to the small business owner who is unfamiliar with earned media and creating publicity. I would recommend this book to those unfamiliar with putting together a channel management strategy or building business relationships with the media.

I would not recommend this book for an experienced marketer; many of the concepts will seem obvious and not provide any deeper insight into your current strategies.

  3. Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R8YZMA3P21FDU Absolutely loved this book! I bought it after attending a PR Workshop in San Francisco featuring Jill Lubin (one of the books co-authors). I thought the workshop was awesome and immediately headed home to buy the book on Amazon.

As a business consultant, I excel in alot of areas including marketing and sales, but what I didn’t know about was Publicity. This book is excellent for the business owner, author or publishing company that needs to develop and get out media kits, and secure radio interviews. The book is reasonably priced and has over 300 pages of information.

  4. Many people would like to delegate the whole publicity area to someone else. They hire a “publicist” for a season or set an advertising budget. With a different mindset and attitude, you can reach more people with less of a financial investment.

As the authors explain in the introduction, “Most people don’t know the value publicity adds to their businesses or how to implement it.” You can learn the basic skill of relationship building from these authors who write, “Guerilla publicity works best for small- to mid-level businesses and provides the widest exposure at the lowest price–and it costs far less than advertising and can produce better results. Publicity lets you tell your story in greater depth than advertising, which is crucial for new and unique enterprises.”

Each chapter of this book contains many insights and critical steps for anyone to build a presence in today’s marketplace with the latest cost-effective techniques. Get this book and study each page because it will give you the edge that you need to stand out and succeed.

  5. I really see no better choice, but to say yes, I agree. Let’s all jump on the bandwagon.
I don’t think it’s up to anyone to judge what people’s posts should be about. Why not allow everyone to just say what they want (in designated threads, ofcourse)?
In my humble opinion, there’s a lot of B.S. on this topic all over the internet. How do I know you are not just trying to sell something?
This page lacks some funny comments. Know any jokes?

Anything worth doing, is worth getting someone else to do.
